World-class researchers from the Institute of Catalysis gave a series of lectures on the current trends in Material Science for IKBFU students and young researchers. The themes varies from "Carbon nanotubes as building blocks of modern nanotechnology" to "Carbon nanomaterials as a basis for the synthesis of new materials".

On October 6th, 2016 FABRIKA Science Park hosted a seminar “Synthesis and optimization of the properties of multiwalled carbon nanotubes". Graduate, post-graduate students and young scientists were invited to take part in the seminar and follow-up discussions.

Vladimir L. Kuznetsov, head of the Laboratory of Nanostructured Carbon Materials at the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis was one of the keynote speakers. His research interests include tailor-made catalysts, synthesis of surface compounds, ultradisperse materials (cluster derived catalysts, aerogels of SiO2), carbon nanotubes and many research areas.
