The employees of the IKBFU New Magnetic Materials Laboratory won the Russian Federation Basic Research (RFBR) competition for the best project, which is carried out by the leading youth groups “Stabilnost” (Stability).

Their research on the topic "Comprehensive studying on the magnetoelectric effect in designed and synthesized multicomponent elastomers for active biological interface usage" is among the best. 375 projects are approved in total and the grant is valid for two years. Moreover, the group got the maximum grant, which is 6 million rubles per year.

Valeria Rodionova, the head of the IKBFU New Magnetic Materials Laboratory, is the project manager. The IKBFU Laboratory physicists and biologists are also joined the group.

“We are so glad that our efforts to create the Interdisciplinary Laboratory succeeded and our application demonstrated the high relevance of the research, which is dedicated to brain stem cells. We are planning to use physical methods to find the best way of brain stem cells differentiation,” Valeria Rodionova said.
