Researchers from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University won the grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR). The committee of RFBR chose the project on the topic of optimization of antiplatelet therapy for cardiovascular diseases based on the detection of metabolites of acetylsalicylic acid using nuclear magnetic resonance and vibrational spectroscopy. Co-authors of the project are Prof. Dr Vladimir Rafalskiy, director of the Centre for Clinical Trials of the IKBFU and a research group of his colleagues from the Scientific and Educational Center “Fundamental and Applied Photonics. Nanophotonics”.
The main goal of the project is to improve the effectiveness of the therapy and to decrease the rate of mortality from circulatory system diseases.
