Arrival, accomodation, visa information

Participation:

Participation in the Summer School is free of charge. Organisers do not cover travel costs, insurance and meal.
However, those who are admitted have to send a copy of their travel ticket to Kaliningrad via e-mail till June 22, 2015. Participants are expected to participate all three weeks from the beginning of the Summer School (July 20) till the closing ceremony.

Arrival:

You should make all travel arrangements by yourself. In case if you have difficulties our team will be glad to assist you in coordination of the route.

Please note that railway station and bus station are located in the city, so you may use the city transport. Airport is located outside of the city (40 min. by bus).

We ask all of you to provide us with information of the day, time of your arrival and the type of transport you are planning to come with.

Airport:

Bus (from airport to the city):

There are buses to/from the KGD Khrabrovo Airport terminal to the bus station (Avtovokzal) which leave every hour on the hour during the daytime.

If you live at Sommera dormitory, your bus stop is Central Market (Центральный рынок).


Accommodation:

Accommodation will be provided for all guest participants.

Dormitory is equipped with kitchen, stove, fridge, etc.


Accomodation is booked for participants from July 18 till August 9. All participants are expected to arrive before July 20.

Visa:

We assist our participants in the process of obtaining visa by preparing invitation from the University.

Participants are expected to have visa, which covers duration of the Summer School.

University:

Courses will be held at the main building of the University (Kaliningrad, Alexandra Nevskogo Str., 14, I. Kant Baltic Federal University).

Dormitory is located in the walking distance from the University (around 15 minutes). You can also use public transport.

For the opening session you will be picked up by our volunteers.


Final examination and certificates:

Participants have an opportunity to pass test on each course and receive a certificate with marks. A certificate of attendance is given to those participants who have attended all classes.
