Summer School 2017

Application and admission

The admittance to Summer School will be effected by June 05, 2017, latest. Those who are admitted have to send a copy of their travel ticket to Kaliningrad via e-mail by June 19, 2017.

Participants are expected to participate all three weeks from the beginning of the Summer School till the closing ceremony. 


Participation in the Summer School is free of charge. Organisers do not cover travel costs, insurance and meal.However, those who are admitted have to send the copy of their travel ticket(s) to by June 19, 2017. 

Travelling and accomodation

Visa: we assist our participants in the process of obtaining visa by preparing invitation on behalf of the University. 

Participants are expected to have visa, which covers duration of the Summer School.

Travelling: you should make all travel arrangements by yourself. In case if you have difficulties our team will be glad to assist you in coordination of the route.

Arrival: we ask all participants to provide us with information of the day, time of arrival and the type of transport. Railway station and bus station are located in the city. Please see the map for useful locations.

Airport: located outside of the city (40 min. by bus). Bus to/from the KGD Khrabrovo Airport terminal to the bus station (Avtovokzal) goes every hour during the daytime. If you live at Sommera dormitory, your bus stop is Central Market (Центральный рынок). For taxi service we recommend official taxi located inside the arport building near the entrance. We do not recommend any other private taxi offered at the arport. 

Accommodation: will be provided for all guest participants.

Dormitory is located in the walking distance from the University (around 15 minutes). Dormitory is equipped with kitchen, stove, fridge, etc. Accomodation is booked for participants from July 22 till August 13. All participants are expected to arrive before July 24. University: сourses will be held at the main building of the University (Kaliningrad, Alexandra Nevskogo Str., 14, I. Kant Baltic Federal University). For the opening session you will be picked up by our volunteers.

Wi-fi: is availiable at the University and dormitory at the Sommera Street.


Certificates of participation with marks and credits are awarded to those who passed at least two exams and attended all classes of the selected courses.
