On June 20-24, the IKBFU hosted the 7th International Conference on Cognitive Science. The conference was a continuation of a series of meetings held in Kazan, Moscow, Tomsk, and Kaliningrad.
The conference was attended by over 100 scholars focusing on cognition and its evolution, intelligence, thinking, perception, consciousness, knowledge creation and acquisition, language as a means of cognition and communication, and brain mechanisms of cognition and complex forms of behaviour. It brought together psychologists, neurophysiologists, pedagogues, specialists in artificial intelligence, neuroinformatics, cognitive ergonomics, and computer sciences, philosophers, anthropologists, and other experts in cognitive science.
Keynote speakers included Prof Tatyana Chernigovskaya (Saint Petersburg Russia), Andrey Kibrik (Moscow, Russia), Konstantin Anokhin (Moscow, Russia), Per Linell (Göteborg University, Sweden), and Friedemann Pulvermüller (Free University of Berlin, Germany).
