Valeria Rodionova, the Head of the Laboratory of New Magnetic Materials at IKBFU Institute of Biochemistry, a researcher of the Center for Functionalized Magnetic Materials for Biomedicine and Nanotechnologies (FunMagMa) won a competition to receive a federal grant from the RF President to support young Russian researchers. Her research paper "Visualization of the stressed state of a metallic core of a ferromagnetic microwire in a glass casing" was among the best in the field of physics and astronomy.

Microwires are actively used in modern mobile phones, tablets, sensors, automation systems of various mechanisms, etc. Now it is necessary to uncover the full potential of the material, explain and predict its properties and the research project will make a major step towards it.
