On December 11, 2018, the senior administration of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University had a meeting with the international company KUKA, the world's leading manufacturer of industrial robots. The parties discussed their plans for joint development of the solutions in technologies, the organization of the efficient robotic production based on orders from industrial enterprises and the creation of joint educational programmes, which are aimed at training students and at developing their additional competencies.
At the meeting, Dmitry Kapishnikov, General Director of KUKA Robotics RUS, and Ivan Frolov, head of the Automotive Industries (KUKA), highlighted that the Kaliningrad Region has a great potential concerning the usage of robotics and automation technologies.
According to Dr Irina Kuksa, First Vice-Rector – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs (IKBFU), the collaboration with the industrial partners is very important for the University.
